OUR STORY

Match Stats News was born in a small London flat during the 2022 World Cup. Two friends, both obsessed with football and data, realised there was no single place where casual fans could get clear, reliable stats without wading through complex tables. We started sharing spreadsheets on social media, and the response was overwhelming. Soon we launched this blog to bring those insights to everyone.

Today, we’re a growing team of analysts, writers, and lifelong fans, all united by a simple belief: stats make football more exciting.
